I'm not trying to be cute. What falls within your definition of "custom?" Are you wanting someone to make something of your own design?Who makes nice custom grips for the N frame?
I'm looking for something like the Square butt finger groove style shown here:I'm not trying to be cute. What falls within your definition of "custom?" Are you wanting someone to make something of your own design?
I am personally partial to Hogue grips for revolvers, but they are not for everybody, and I do not know if that is for what you are looking.
I'll have to check with them and see if they make then for the N frame with a square butt. I've found a few online but all for round butt guns.Hogue has Tulipwood. I like Hogue grips.
I have a set of their Kingwood & Tulipwood for SIG pistolas.
Tulipwood is GREAT beautiful wood for gun grips. Call Hogue and talk to somebody on the phone.
They can hand pick you a set of grips for extra fancy grain.
Tell them that you're going to take pictures of them for DefensiveCarry.com and thousands of gun people are going to be looking at your Tulipwood grips and reading your review. :yup: That always works to get a little bit of extra attention. :biggrin2:

I would suggest that you try Hogue first. Why? ....You Ask..because they have a no hassle - all smiles - money back (for any reason) guarantee.
Actually...your "reason" can just be: "I tried them & I don't like them." & you'll get cheerfully refunded.
No Problem. :wave:Thank you Puffer! Those look just like what I have in mind, other than the species of wood. I'll check into those as well.
I'm really happy with the gun and shoot it well, but I think I can shoot it even better with a grip that fits my hand.. Rubber grips like the Hogue ones I have on my 686+ plus would fit me well, but it just seems a crime to me to put ugly rubber grips on such a beautiful gun, especially with that deep dark blue finish.
I don't have any Herrett's, but I know they have a very high reputation. I will say, however, that Hogue's wood grips are essentially similar in shape to their rubber grips, which you know shoot well for you. Good luck with whatever you decide! :hand10:Rubber grips like the Hogue ones I have on my 686+ plus would fit me well, but it just seems a crime to me to put ugly rubber grips on such a beautiful gun, especially with that deep dark blue finish.
