long gun purchase rule for CPL holders

I know that Washington State exempt people issued CPL on or after July 22, 2011 from NICS to purchase a handgun and not have to wait. But does it apply to purchasing long guns(rifles) as well? I know that Dealers have to conduct a NICS check for people purchasing a rifle. Just to be clear, are CPL holders that was issued their license on or after July 22, 2011 exempt? Because, I would hate to tell someone that works at Big 5 Sporting Good for example how these rules apply.
Someone please educate me! Where is this rule on RCW? The RCW only shows handguns but not rifles. Did I miss it? It's not specific enough.

Obviously,i wouldn't know, but,i would call a gun dealer and ask them.
In Georgia, it's good for any firearm purchase.
@gregns may just do that. TY!
It was the House Bill in Washington 1839 I believe that is being discussed. It has been proceed but is still waiting to be put into law. So not sure how or what else that the legislators have to do to make it law? But it's there sitting. HB 1839. Look it up. I did my research and got the answer. If this pass it will definitely be great news for CPL holders in Washington State. In some state it is already law. :35:
Last time I bought a rifle in WA, I walked into the White Elephant with my DL and Mil ID and walked out with a 788.

In Michigan, CPL holders do not need an NCIC check. Some dealers call it in anyway so the local ATF agents won't yell at them.

Go figure.
