You can probably get a Kimber Compact II for that price, MSRP is listed at $1K, but average retail should be around $800.
Smith and Wesson has their new 1911ES out now. Street price on that is running about $925. Sig has a couple models they label as "Compact" that are CCO-sized guns. Depending on the finish, street price on those run low-$900 up to $1,000 +/-. STI's Guardian is close to CCO, but only has a 3.9" barrel and runs about $1,100. I'm not aware of any other manufacturers currently making the CCO configuration, but there may be some others.

edited: I forgot about Kimber. Thanks, JD. And I think Para may have an option if you're willing to go into the double action line.

PM sent to you.
I just recently bought a Colt New Agent for about 800$ NIB. Im sure you could get one for cheaper if you looked around. its a 3" barrel but yeah

Is this the one you are referring to?

Yup, they must have raised their MSRPs, that's a pretty basic gun for a good chunk of change.
If you do regular business with a reputable gun shop, I still think that your could latch on to a Kimber for that $$$. OMO

I have found that being a constant parton of the same gun shop does two thing...it keeps your wallet thin, and you tend to get very fair pricing...:yup:
