Hi,

I am looking for a belt like the wilderness instructor (that you can use to secure yourself in tall places and perhaps rappel on) that would be wide (1.5"+) and support CCW.

so why not the instructor? becouse i want something more elegant - leather or sort.

what do you say - is there anything like that?

I doubt you'll find anything with elegance that can be used for rapelling. The Wilderness Instructor isn't elegant but it doesn't look bad.

I have spent alot of $ on many belts from the finest leather makers (Del fatti, Sparks,Rosen,Beltman etc) and I always seem to grab my Wilderness instructor belt. With Jeans/Khaki's the wilderness belt is great. If you are wearing dress pants than the a nice 1-1/4 leather belt looks much better. I never really understood why people seemed to rave over these silly Wildnerness belts until I finally owned one. I always thought how can a $39.99 nylon belt be any better than a $100 Milt Sparks belt. Well I have since changed my mind on how I view things
