I am a full time RVer with a TX address and spend a lot of time in AZ. I took a CCW class on Oct. 24 here in Yuma and submitted my application to AZ Department of Public Safety on 10/27. In early Nov. I got a letter from DPS stating that my fingerprint card was illegible and submitted a new one. Found out that other in the class were receiving their permits before Christmas. I called DPS and was told that my 2nd fingerprint card was illegible and had to be mailed to the FBI to be read manually (?). Was told at that time I would have my permit by the end of Jan. No big deal, have waited 73 years so am in no big hurry. The class was enjoyable and informative from the standpoint of learning the law but was short on the "when". Have been reading various forums and am learning about the "when" and enjoy the different viewpoints folks have when experiences are shared.
