I use the Wilson mags and the only problem I have noticed with them is they have an issue with locking the slide open after the last round is fired.

Weird, acparmed, I use only Wilson mags and have not experienced the slide not locking back in my Kimbers. I did hear that occasionally, the plastic pad on a Wilson 47d will, in certain circumstances (getting caught on something?), send your base and spring launching from the body. I have never experienced anything like this with Wilson mags.

I use only Wilson's in my Kimber too. However, I've had a few instances when the plastic bumper has disengaged about half-way after the magazine hits the ground upon ejection during a speed re-load. Probably not such a good idea to use my good mags during that type of training...

Wilson

Another vote for Wilsons in my Kimber! I have 15 different 7-round 47,OX mags that I rotate through my Ultra at somewhat regular intervals, and have had 100% reliability from them!

I also have 10 CMC Powermags and they are very nice and function flawlessly in the Les Baer Thunder Ranch Specials. I got a deal on them for $20 each.

Like Bumper, I use Wilson Mags for my Kimber and have never had a problem. I was asking Bumper the other night about another brand mag that is suppose to be similar design to the Wilson, but half the cost....anyone know ?

I use both Wilson Combat (8rd, come std with S&W 1911) and Cobramag HV A8-MG mags that I got on a group buy from Virgil Tripp (Tripp Research . . . real good folks to deal with).

The Cobramags seem a lot better constructed, but I don't have enough rounds thru them to fully evaluate them yet.
