Here in Maine the Gun Owners of Maine ("GOME") are fighting a Citizens Referendum financed by Bloomberg and his minions. The Referendum would require Universal Background Checks ("UBC") for all firearm sales, transfers, loans, and casual changes of control, with very limited exceptions. The Referendum was financed by Bloomberg and his astro-turf groups that are anti-gun, all of whom are out of state. The signature solicitors, the campaigners, most of the staff are from out of state.

The GOME is a 14,000 member group of Maine residents, and has tons of volunteers with time and energy to fight Bloomberg, what GOME lacks is money.

Bloomberg is a Bazillionaire dedicating millions to eliminate firearms, so GOME is seriously outgunned. His spending ability is going to bleed GOME dry unless we can raise funds. The Election is November 8, so we need funds as soon as possible.

He keeps financing and pushing things here, then only 3 -20 people show up to their rally. LOL We hope he loses a lot of money with this junk. Colleges here all adjusted and adapated to the new law about 4 yrs ago to allow carrying on campus, but some State Univ opted for the 4 yr exemption to implement "security measures" . Well, time runs out Jan 1 .. and they haven't implemented squat (it was all a lie) and now they have to open it up to gun holders carrying ... so , Bloomberg is trying to get them to rally and oust some Legislatures to get it repealed. Unlikely to happen, but will take us keeping the right people elected and in there. We hope he is just wasting his money.

They man needs to find an Island, ban all guns on it and leave the rest of us alone.

Keep fighting, the more he loses these efforts .... and he has lost many .... the poorer he gets and the more they realize it isn't going to work.
