I was looking at this holster but was wondering about the thickness since it has the double leather in the back. Compared to the Crossbreed Supertuck, is it much thicker ? I have one of those and love it . I have a new gun that I need a holster for and am considering switching to the Minotaur because I can buy different Kydex bodies for my other weapons as well. I just wonder if the extra thickness is very noticeable ? Thanks.

I don't think you will be able to tell. It is incredibly comfortably and I suggest you get it. It also depends on if you wear it 3:00 or wherever else.

I can wear any pair of jeans/shorts i own (except athletic shorts, those don't work very well) with no problem as long as I have a belt with it. The double leather is barely noticeable, if at all. Hope this helps.

No experience with the Crossbreed, but I have a couple of Minotaurs. You'll like it. And the service is top-notch. They're apparently overworked though. My last order arrived in seven days instead of three. Just order it and enjoy the Smarties.

I have a Supertuck and a Minotaur and I don't think there is much difference in thickness.

I don't think you will be disappointed with the Minotaur.

The Minotaur has only a single layer of leather where the gun is. The second layer of leather only covers the perimeter of the holster where the backs of the fasteners are. You should not feel a big difference with the Minotaur.

That is correct. I'm in need of a Glock G26/27 shell for mine if anyone has one they don't need.

I have both, and like both. I have the CrossBreed MiniTuck for my Kel-tec PF-9 and the Comp-tac Minataur for my S&W M&P 9

The CBMT is stiffer leather and has wide metal clips that chew up your belt leather. I don't mind the stiffness, in fact it seems to aid in getting it in place, but am considering ordering some comp-tac clips to replace them.

The CTM is more pliable and has very flexible narrow plastic clips. This rig seems a little harder to quickly get in place, but I like the narrow less destructive clips. The clips have more adjustment capability (more holes) than the CBMT. Also, there is the ability to swap out kydex for different weapons, but I don't ever see myself doing this. I just have a different holster for different weapons.

I do plan on getting an M&P 9C some day, and it will fit into the holster I have for the full sized 9.

Also, I have a separate set of velcro clips for the CrossBreed but haven't tried them yet.

Hope this helps.

No noticeable difference.

After a few weeks "break-in" you don't fell it anymore.
