HB 302 - Prohibit state enforcement of any federal ban on semi-auto firearms/magazines
This bill has passed out of the house, and has just passed out of a Senate Committee. Indications are that it will pass.

SB 133 - Revise concealed weapon laws

This bill will allow those with a concealed weapon permit carry in places that are currently considered prohibited, including:

• Portions of a building used for state or local government offices and related areas in the building that have been restricted;
• A bank, credit union, savings and loan institution, or similar institution during the institution's normal business hours.
• A room in which alcoholic beverages are sold, dispensed, and consumed under a license issued under Title 16 for the sale of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises.

This bill has passed the house and has unanimously passed the committee in the senate and heading for a full senate vote.

SB 145 - Require all information on a concealed weapon permit application confidential
This bill has been passed out of the legislature and will be transmitted to the governor for signature. It passed out of the legislature with overwhelming support.

Way to go Montana.... didn't concealed carry first start in Texas? Maybe the other states will learn from Montana what Texas taught the others. :) Gotta start somewhere, might as well be Montana.

Gotta love freedom lovers. Way to go Montana.
Very nicely done up there in the Big Sky country. Great to see. In some places common sense actually is common!
Congrats to Montana! Sounds like common sense prevails there and the state hasn't been taken over by libtards from Komifornia, like Colorado!:yup:
Good...glad I live here....
Damn, maybe it is time for me to move from CO to MT.
Lived here for 23 years and have loved this beautiful state, but today has really changed things.
...doncha believe it...HER version was killed...they can still slip another one in on us...be watchful...

I don't know.....you can legally smoke marijuana in CO.....LOL
God bless Montana! I hope my state follows, but they are slow to act, cautious...IMO, not bold, which is lame.
Yeah, it looks good, but even if they pass, the Gov (a Democrat) can choose to NOT sign them into law.

Oh yeah, Missoula is a hotbed of Liberalism in MT (Along with Bozeman and Billings).

True, but the CCW confidentiality passed with a veto proof vote (almost 90% approval), and the revising of the CCW laws passed out of the senate with a 90% vote and passed out of the house committee with a unanimous vote. The only one that is not veto proof so far is the forbidding of sate employees aiding the enforcement of an AWB/Magazine ban. That one was passed with one vote shy (of those that voted) of a 2/3rds majority. I am concerned about a veto on the last one, but the first two I am pretty confident in with that sort of support.
All sound good. We already have those, except for the one on no State agy or LEO can assist and Fedl agent or agency in enforcing laws that ban any guns, mags, etc.... and the bill is going thru now, and looks good for passage.

You'll appreciate the changes.
