So here it is... As far as we are concerned, this should be a no big deal since the UN does not trump our Constitution so all the people concerned about your guns being controlled by the UN... relax... won't happen despite what the NRA is claiming... Of course, I can think MR Obama has another way to circumvent the 2/3 Senate requirement to pass this...

I don't trust the current occupant at 1600 Pennsylvania.

He already promised he would circumvent congress and said he doesn't need them to get "things" done.

So, yeah, it is a big deal.

Simple question: If "MR" Obama is signing the gun treaty, why, if it will have no effect on the U.S. ? He isn't done trying to modify the Constitution, so, the treaty will be in effect for him or some other anti 2A president.

I don't trust him any farther than I can throw him... Now is not the time to be complacent, or it will happen. One of the few truths to come out of his mouth is that he will work around congress every chance he gets.

Look on the bright side. We no longer have to worry about our government becoming Tyrannical, it's here. I don't even recognize this country anymore. When Obama said "fundamental change", he meant it. There is no respect for the constitution anymore, to them it's an inconvenient document that gets in the way of them moving their agenda forward as fast as they want. Department of justice headed up by a lying jack booted thug. An administration that uses the IRS to suppress the vote through intimidation and steal the election, leaving Americans to die in a foreign land and lying and covering it up, fast and furious, spying on journalist, and the list goes on. If you are a conservative or you express disagreement with this administration or you donate to a Republican candidate, this administration has declared war on you, and will come after you. Just ask Gibson guitars for one of many. Obama has divided us into two camps, and we are the enemy. He is hell bent on destroying the United States, and he is doing a good job.

If he does sign the treaty, won't that deter foreign manufacturers from exporting arms to the U.S.?

There is ZERO chance of it being ratified, they don't have the 67 votes needed. There is no way around getting a treaty ratified. It is symbolic and nothing more.

I could see it becoming part of the Anti's shame game. Look why are we not honoring the treaty our President has signed?(Low info voters won't realize ratification is required) So we can be like other "civilized countries".

?????? Who does this president think he is? Dictator? King? I hope our representatives do their job and vote this down. Those who don't should be replaced.....

Like many here I've been following this treaty for a while now. I had no doubt Obama would sign it, that much was clear. If he's gonna sign the NDAA and others, this is a no-brainer for him. Now, what I am waiting to see is him trying to enforce it by sidestepping the Senate. Legally, I can't imagine how that could happen, but I have a sneaky suspicion there's some play in motion.

All I can say is, if somehow this treaty is passed without Congress's approval, I am going to be very alarmed.

What a joke. Why he would let foreign nations dictate how we run our country is terrible. I do agree that it seems something is going on behind the curtain regardless of what the big booming voice says!

Palmgopher, when were you at the MCCES school house? I'm currently joined to them. I can't go very far in stating my opinion on mr osama, i mean obama, but I will say this....

Nixon was impeached for FAR less!!! Clinton got a blow job under the oval office desk and people were calling for his head on a silver platter... I find it difficult to understand why this man is still in charge...

Since Obama pushed for this, it can't come as any surprise that he will sign it. We can only hope and pray that the requirement for treaty ratification remains intact. As long as it does, we'll be fine.

The arrogance of this administration frightens me. Luckily, tho Obama appears untouchable, they have morally bankrupted themselves and failed miserably at everything they have tried to do.

This administration is full of nincompoops but its still dangerous.

You aren't playing the long game. Once signed, the treaty stays signed. That means that a future Senate that does have the necessary votes can ratify it without the concurrence of the then sitting President.

You can be certain that Senate approval is the last thing on Obama's mind. He's going to implement the treaty anyway, just like he's implemented amnesty for illegal aliens without the approval of Congress.

And that President if he does not like the treaty can have us withdraw...........
