Went to a gun show this weekend. Here are a few things I noticed:

  • People are buying lots of guns
  • Ammo was plentiful, albeit a little on the spendier side from a year ago. But prices seemed to have stabilized
  • The LCP was down to $299
  • I saw a SigSauer P238 for $599 which blew the socks off of the LCP

And the last thing I noticed:

A Benelli M4 tactical shotgun. Ya. It followed me home. Range report to follow shortly. :danceban:

I've noticed that ammo is much greater supply & not going up any higher......hope it starts dropping soon.

Handgun prices are starting to slide back down as well.

The biggest thing is the 'black rifles' are coming down A LOT! I guess every maker finally got tooled up & now the demand is dropping. (got a complete M4gery upper with bolt for $400)

Yesterday, at Bill Goodman's Gun and Knife Show, I told a man at the entrance to ban me from there! I had almost made it out the door, when a passing pal and I spied the only FNP-9 in the place, for sale and on display in a case, an ugly black plastic gun without even the shiny slide that I wanted. I had bypassed several shiny new SR-9 Rugers too. I hope that NYC Mayor Bloomturd's rats and spies had a nice time.

We had a two-day Gun Show at the Kern County Fairgrounds, in Central California. I doubt there were 50 hand guns in the entire show, excluding black powder ones. A lot of rifles and shotguns, but I was with two other friends, and we all agreed that the prices were on the high side. Had some ammo, but again, not a real lot.

I bought a box of 50 .380 95gr. JHP autos for $29.95, there were ample .45 ACP and 9mm Luger, but other ammo was scarce. A guy was selling 10 rounds of .50 rifle ammo at $59.95, which I thought was awfully high, but others stated that they spent $7 to $8 per round.

Didn't buy any guns, autos were $600 and up, and very little negotiating involved. Cost $3 parking and $9 entrance, however, they did offer free coffee.

As I left Bill Goodman's Gun and Knife Show, at Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio, on Saturday afternoon, with my brand-new FNP-9 ugly black plastic pistol, I told a man at the door to ban me from that place! They let me back in on Sunday!

Have you ever been to the Dallas/Market show. I've been once, thought it was a good show, and am thinking about going with my son this weekend.

It's fun to look at guns and talk about them at gun shows. We do Bill Goodman's Gun and Knife Shows, as do NYC Mayor Michael Bloomturd's Brady Bunch rats and spies, poop holes looking for loop holes. We make a point of talking to each other about him and them, cussing and fussing and making fun of these nagging gun-hating nannies who pester us about our guns. We hope we make their spy-camera tapes inside and out.
