Congratulations! The more you carry, the more comfortable you will become. You will always be more aware of your weapon than anyone else. You will learn to dress around the gun. Dark colors and patterns are your friends. Loose shirts work wonders. You will learn most people wouldn't notice your weapon if you carried it on your head. Of the 10 people who THINK they see a gun - 8 will assume you're some type of LEO, 1 will be a BG who suddenly decides today isn't the day to rob McDonald's, and one will be another carrier who will smile to himself and think, "I am not alone". If some self-important jerk who thinks his ideas are the law of the land and is trying to impress his girlfriend does make trouble, simply politely deflect his remarks and go about your business. If he calls the store manager or the cops, be calm and polite and answer their questions, reminding them you DO have a permit, and there are no laws against carry where you are and no restricting signs on the entrance to the establishment. If you're carrying where you shouldn't, good luck - you're on your own.
PS
You're feeling the weight because of that "universal" holster. Get a quality holster made specifically for your weapon. Don't hang it from a $10 Wal-Mart belt. Get a good belt made to take weight. I like the Uncle Mike's Instructor model.
