I had no way of knowing the caliber, not being able to see the roll mark on the barrel, but had a nice thought that perhaps it was a .45 Colt.

Had a chance to purchase one just like it a few years back, same barrel length, same finish. Sure wish I'd taken advantage of the opportunity.

The non-magnum straight-walled .44 and .45 caliber revolver cartridges are all so wonderful to play with and so useful and effective.

It's a 25-5 in .45 Colt, so while it's pinned, it's not recessed. Just bought it, so it hasn't arrived yet.
