Navy Seal's first hand account of the JFK "active shooter" incident.
excellent writeup dismas316. i have traveled my entire adult life, mostly in asia and mideast, now writing from indonesia. i always have a backpack with essentials including flashlight, spoon, h2o bottle, cup, duct tape, firstaid stuff, ipad, fresh change of clothes--nothing all nylon, which melts to your skin in a fire. before boarding aircraft my passport, small light, smartphone, keys, extra cash, etc go into a fanny pack if must deplane fast in emergency. always travel in comfy shoes and long pants, long sleeve shirt, never sandals, shorts. did you ever try running in sandals, or worse yet in bare feet, on a hot tarmac that may be strewn with wreckage or fuel? always check the exits. although i have a good u.s. health insurance policy i buy an annual international medevac policy.
