I bought a DeSantis Nemesis a couple of weeks back to try with my XD40SC. Down here in Florida, I wear shorts year round. Only wear long pants at work. SO I was looking for something that would work well with the cargo style shorts I prefer. The Nemesis holds the XDSC reall well (is a little longer than the barrel) and allows me to carry in the shorts pocket. Being on vacation last week I was able to carry the rig almost 24/7 as we bummed around a beachside area in St. Pete, Florida. It worked very well. Provided excewllent cover, no print and I never felt the least bit exposed. Sitting, getting in and out of the car were all accomplished without incident. The rig is easy tpo draw from and does stay in my pocket as advertised. For the price, it seems to be an excellent choice.

Sounds most effective considering gun size - any pic?

I must be the only man in America that has a Nemesis holster (for small semi-autos; specifically my Kel Tec P3AT) that doesn't stay in the pocket when I draw.....not "sticky" enough?

srfl, is your Nemisis new?
I had that problem with the R9 at first, but now the Nemisis stays put.
However, I'm going to order a couple Hedley holsters for my R9, and Seecamp.
They'll stay put upon a draw.

Yes it was....what did you do to keep the Nemesis in your pocket when you drew the R9?

Chameleon told me that medium grade, semi-gap filling CA glue worked just fine!!

XD40: I was not aware the Nemesis holster was available for the XD and I'm not 100% sure how this holster is constructed. Did you just order a holster for a similar sized Glock model?
I ordered the model made for a Glock 27. The holster is a little longer than the gun by about an inch but this just helps to keep it closer to my reach in the very deep pocket of the cargo shorts. The holsert is nylon basically, but a very sticky outer surface and smooth inside. It has a paddle to one side (it is ambidextrous). It covers the trigger guard perfectly. When sitting it does appear as a full pocket but since I have carried multiple electronics gadgets for years (PDA, BlackBerry, cell phone, pager) I feel it looks the same as having a pocketful of those gadgets.
I will try to get a picture up this weekend of the XDSC inthe holster for you.

The reason I ask is that I've pocket carried the XD40 Service before, but this seems like a better holster for it. I bet there's a Glock model pretty close to the same size that would hold the XD40 Service.

Thanks for the heads up. I might have to try this.

I have used a Nemesis holster for a Keltec P32 and also for a Taurus PT-111 for a few years now. They are great for their intended purpose and I highly recommend them.

A couple of weeks ago I was wearing my P32 in my right front pocket. I got out of my car and something didn't feel right.

I realized I was unarmed. What's worse than realizing you are unarmed? Wondering WHERE your gun is!!!!!

I went back to the car and found the gun lying against the rear of my console (Kinda between the seat and console) and the Nemesis holster was lying right in front of it.

The BAD thing is that I PROBABLY shouldn't have been carrying there and if anyone had looked in the vehicle it was easy to see!

I guess SOMEHOW it slipped out of my pocket. (That's what I get for driving a sports car where your legs sit kinda high I guess.)

This might not ever happen to you but I wanted everyone to realize it is a possibility.

I prefer a belt holster or a shoulder holster but some times pocket carry is really convenient. I am just not sure retention is so good. Be careful!

Not a fan of the Nemesis

I have had one since the spring for my Kahr PM-9...it constantly pulls out of my pocket. It will soon be replaced with a HighNoon Pocket Grabber.

My Nemisis pocket holster is still serving me well, as it is the only holster I have for the R9 at this time. I have several customs on order.
The Nemisis at first did not stay in the pocket when I withdrew the R9.
No I did not use epoxy, or fast drying glues, as I am famous for, to fix the holster to my pocket . I feel that by the Nemisis being used daily, it sort of broke itself in.
I practiced drawing from the pants pocket and also had to develop a little different draw to aide in the holster staying behind.

Well, I am back to carrying a true pocket pistol, the Seecamp .380.
While I have several (7) holsters for the Seecamp, I use the Uncle Mikes. I feel the Nemisis in use with the R9, is a better fit then the Seecamp in an Uncle Mikes. The reason? The Seecamp gets lost in the uncle Mikes holster. This I really did not realize until I carried the R9 for a while. The Nemisis I have is definetly too big for the Seecamp, but the Uncle Mikes for the Seecamp is the proper size.

I have a RJ Hedley Holster (http://hedleyholsters.com/) on order for my Seecamp, and I think this holster may be the one.
I also have a "Buy Brown" www.buybrownholsters.com
Kydex Pocket Holster on order for the R9, and I am hoping that Dave Brown would build me a Kydex Pocket holster for the Seecamp..

The tab on the Nemesis conforms to the curve of your thigh as you wear it (over time). Mine has a distinct bend to it now. This aids in holster retention as well.

I have a Nemisis for my Kel Tec P3AT. Sticks well...but what I don't like is that is "shifts" a bit in the pocket keeping the gun from sitting in a good strait up drawing position. May try a nice leather pocket holster with wings to help stabilize.

Been carrying my P3at in one for about three years and haven't had any issues thought I don't think I would attempt carrying a heavier gun in one.

I purchased one 2 weeks ago and like it very well. I found the best price to be on Ebay.
