Can't wait to get my hands on one of these puppies. Hope- fully after shotshow dies down a little dealers will get them I hope. I use to have the Beretta in this same pistol without pic rail. I know beretta is still behind this gun as far as mfg on their machines, and that Bennili and Stoeger are a part of the Beretta family. I like my 9mm and 40 cal Stoeger can't wait for the 45.:image035::smile:

Hey xdcolorado

I've got a Cougar 8000F 9mm that is about 8 months old and I love it! It's a little big for carry but I've done it with my Crossbreed holster. It's mainly a range and home defense gun. I carry my Taurus 709 as my EDC. These new ones look very nice, especially in stainless!!

Stoeger Cougar Double-Action, Auto-Loading Pistol
You got one of those good cougars too. I love mine as well pack it everyday in a shoulder rig or deep-cover holster as well as the o'le leather fanny-pack. I too am gonna have me the 45 in this pistol when it hits the mkt for sure. You are right the stainless is sharp for sure.:smile:

I've had a .40 Cougar for 2 years and I like it. Good solid gun and it NEVER jams. I don't think its the most accurate gun however. A friend and I traded my Cougar and his XDSC .40 back and forth at the range one day and the XD was much easier for me to keep a tight circle.

Sure is a good lookin gun though, especially that new silver.

If I see a Stoeger 8045 cougar for sale, you will be in line behind me...:hand10:
I am only 5'7", 160lbs and don't have a problem carrying the 8040. However, during the summer I resort back to my smaller Makarov periodically.
