New to this in lots of ways...Both the forum, and the entire idea of carrying. Started researching and trying several different types of handguns late last summer for concealed carry purposes. Cousin is in law enforcement, and was kind enough to go with me and let me practice with several different types. Found the one that felt the best, I liked the best, and had the best aim with...ended up with a Glock 27.
Main reason being for the creepers on the bikes who seem to follow me on my evening runs...never mind the dogs that don't even seem fazed by the Mace. Lots of wooded areas and LOTS of cornfields. Running at dusk was getting to be very disturbing. So once my permit comes (Indiana isn't exactly fast at the delivery it seems), I'll be able to feel a lot safer.
Still looking for best way to CC while running...found a pair of compression shorts and an undershirt that both allow for it (have not purchased either at this point), but will also need a way to CC when not running. (Not a fan of the purse plan, as mine is not usually with me.)
So...to truncate the rest. I am an engineer, northern Indiana, runner....and mother to 4 kids. Glock will also be helping provide self defense in the home as well. Looking forward to learning as much as I can...but tend to be a lurker!
Welcome to the forum from SW Ohio. I grew up and went to school in Gary--a good place to be from, as far from as possible.:image035: Left after graduation.
