Hell I'd carry the Kenai rig daily if they just moved the holster from direct center of the chest. I know it's not meant to be a CCW rig, but that would be pretty cool for a guy like me. I'm not a giant fan of shoulder holsters, and upper body carry has its advantages.
I've never had a Kydex shoulder holster. I've have spent some time with the all-leather Galco Miami Special. My hope is that the use of Kydex (perhaps ventilated?) could make a shoulder holster less-warm than the...hinges of HELL! :yup:
Kenai's seem super sweet for a hiking holster, I've had my eye on them and Hill People Gear for a while now. I've been meaning to get a magnum revolver, and one of their holsters for use when I'm backpacking in bear country. With a big pack, you can't easily run a belt mounted holster, and those give you super fast access.
