New from Missouri

Hi all. I found this forum by chance after doing some Internet searching.

I have had my CCW since 2007, but many things have changed since I first got it. My neighborhood has gone from a nice upper to middle - middle class neighborhood to one where the majority lives below the poverty line.

Looking at the published crime reports for my city (if you are not familiar with "St Louis" we all say we are from "St Louis" but many of us including me actually live in the burbs made up of dozens of smaller cities), the violent crime rate is going up, even though the city officials keeps claiming that crime is down (it's published in PDF files online, how do they get away with that??).

Just 6 months ago an officer was shot blocks away from where I had a minor "incident" recently. I'll share my story in another post in the appropriate forum

I'm a "home hobbiest" in that I work on my own firearms (no major work on my carry guns), and I recently finished up several projects including building out a 10/22 "target" rifle, restoration of two old revolvers, and installing Trijicon night sights on my carry pistols.
