Yesterday I picked up my new Sig SP 2022, 9mm, delivered from Bud's. I carried the gun almost the entire day today in a Smart Carry, and I could not believe how comfortable the 2022 was, despite its size and bulk. I do not use the Smart Carry as originally intended; instead I wear it at 4 o'clock just under my belt line. That way, just the grip of the gun juts above my waistband. This method really works well for me. The gun's receiver is polymer, and slide is blackened stainless steel. The gun comes with Sig Nightsights and 2 mags.

At the Range:
I fired up a total of 110 rounds of assorted 9 mm ammo. Absolutely no failures of any kind. Ammo consisted of WW FMJ, Remington FMJ, Gold Dot 124gr.+P, and some of my own 115 gr. handloads.
Double action pull is initially smooth, with no take up, then seems to load up at the end of travel. Single action is light, smooth and crisp.
Ergonomics of the gun fits me well, and the gun points very naturally. It is equipped with a decocker, which aids safety while carrying with a round in the tube. I like having this device.
The sights were dead on, and I found two inch groups, shooting off hand, to be quite manageable at 11 yards. Recoil is negligible.
I r-e-a-l-l-y like this gun!!! For $439 delivered, if you are thinking of getting one, I highly recommend it, you won't be sorry!

Sig's are great firearms. Watch out, there addicting. My first one was a 250. I've since gotten a 226, 229, and a 239.

I also picked up a SIG Pro 2022, which was a trade for a Glock that I just didn't like.

It's a great gun, nice trigger and ergonomics and fun to shoot. The SIG Pro joins my P239 DAK, another great SIG! SIGs ROCK!!! :image035:

Actually, this is my second Sig. I also have a 239 in 40 cal. I love the gun, but as I age, arthritis makes the 40 a little rough on my hands. The Sig trigger system is really good, plus I like the decocker, and carrying with the hammer down.
