I have what I believe is a totally new idea for a CC shirt, and I was wondering if any of you out there know of a good patent attorney, or if any of you sponsors help people with their design ideas.

They won't even talk to you unless you have $10,000-15,000 for a patent search to get the ball rolling. Most of them get all kinds of calls from people who have invented the next big thing that ends up just wasting time.

I paid close to $10,000. to trademark the Hitch King (R) name and logo and two others. I have a good guy PM sent.

The problem with patents is you make the product and you secure a patent on it and you deceide to move the placement of a screw hole, bracket, something minor to the design, you have just voided the protection of the patent.

You can also try United States Patent and Trademark Office it is free.

I would also send yourself a certified envelope w/return receipt. I would include a letter to yourself with designs and pictures. DO NOT OPEN IT!!!

You will walk out of the Post Office with a stamped receipt for the mailing.

You will sign the green card when the mailman delivers it the next day.

The PO will mail the green card back to you a few days later.

Put everything in a safe place.

The reason behind this is. If you have to defend that it was your idea and when you came up with the design. Poor mans insurance policy.

Hope this helps. Hitch :king:
