The wait was worth it! I was like a 5 year old boy opening up his Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas when I saw the box. Kevin does awesome work.

The holster is a Thunderbird Defender with Sharkskin trim. It is black on black. It will work IWB, OWB, and is tuckable.

Pictured with it is my Beltman, horsehide 1 1/4" belt with velcro sewn in. The gun is a CZ PCR that I picked up back in the spring.

Beautiful leather.. I have that exact holster in the same color for my G23. The out of the box comfort was great but it gets better every time I put it on. I really love Kevin's work. I just ordered another one of his holsters for my P239.

Rumor's on other forums are saying that Kevin has closed down shop at K & D holster's, I hope that this is not true, as I love my Dakoda Defender holster that I bought last year, & I am thinking of getting another holster from him, for my 1911 pistol. can anyone verify this rumor ?

He did close for a short time to catch up on orders but is now back up and running. I'm told (by a member here) that all orders are now handled on a per month quota to keep delivery times at about 8-10 weeks. Orders are taken at the beginning of the each month then stopped when the predetermined limit is reached for that month. Then orders then resume at the beginning of the next month.

I have the Thunderbird for my P232, haven't worn it much but it is a nice holster for sure. Instead of exotci trim I had the holster done in natural and the accent wing done in dark brown and it looks great. One of these days I will get some pics.

I bought this from an individual so my wait time was only three days. Unfortunately for me it turned out to be a compact instead of full-size and I can't use it.
