I got a new pair of pants from of all places K-Mart a couple of weekends ago, they are made by Wrangler. I guess the new lines Jr. has been pushing. They are a decent weight material, Color selection could use to be broadened. Pleated and non.

Now this is the exciting part.

I'm not kidding,

They were less than $15.00 each.

:tumbleweed:

Okay, so that's not as sexy as a nice new piece of iron.

But for those of us on a pretty tight budget, That's news, especially if we have to get all new ones.

I have lucked out similarly - both at K-Mart and here where we have a Value City. Seems to depend on what bulk purchases they have made - and our luck as to when we happen to go in.

For everyday use I admit I do buy relatively cheap - but always keep some good ones for those days when I need better and in particular, days when I can only pocket carry - then it's Cabellas deals with nice cargo pockets!

OK...location of Wrangler jeans for $15.00 a pop ~ That's a good price and a worthwhile post to those folks that are going to need to go new clothes shopping for suitable carry clothing.

almost as good is getting a similar deal on a pair of rather expensive pants or a shirt. I got a 5*11 Tactical shirt that retails for $40 for less than $12 at an online sale a few days ago. Botach Tactical, I think was the site.

Actually QK, I should have elaborated a little more. :embarassed:

These are the Dockers / Khaki style. I didn't see any jeans. I would prefer to wear jeans, but work mandates otherwise.

Still a pretty good price though.

Hey - Kohl's online has cargo shorts with front pockets large enough for my Glock 17 - 2 pairs for $26. Not the "Kohl's Tactical's" though. No kneesocks allowed either. Texas does have hot summers.....

try carheart there a bit pricy but ruged and come in 5 or 6 colors with side pouches and deep pockets made from canvas but look verry nice and am finding they fit better than wranglers wich i have many paies the waist is a bit thicker n wider so they hold a holster clip well and will accept a wid or thick belt

Faded Gory jeans for a little over 10 bucks a pair at Walmart for pants, Goodwill for shirts and jackets and I am all set....:image035:

My family is always asking why I would pay over a hundred dollars for a flashlight, couple hundred on a knife, and up to a thousand for a handgun, but will not spend more then ten bucks for pants.

Some people just have no idea what the important things in life are...:duh:

I conceal carry with a pair of (Wal-Mart) jeans/denim cargo shorts with zip-off legs. These give me ample pockets to carry my piece/spare mags and when it gets warm, I just zip off the pants legs and voila! shorts! When it runs cool in the evening, I just zip back on the pants legs. It is a very versatile setup.

I've been buying my Levi's at Walmart for about a year now. They carry a "Signature" line that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. These use thicker denim than the 550/560 now so they're more like what Levi's use to be before they went South of the border. The best part is, they run about $26 per pair compared to the $30 - $36 I was spending before for cheaper quality 550s. They also have a "Carpenter's" style that looks a lot like denim painter's pants (hammer loop & pencil/tool pocket on the leg, etc.), I think those are a bit less than the Signature line.

on deals

if you wanna talk cheap clothes, there's a store called steve and barry's that sell decent clothes at decent prices. how decent? try everything in the store is under $12. i don't know if there are stores outside of pennsylvania; we have one or two in the northeast area. plenty of cargo pants, good heavy jeans, down jackets, and pea coats. and if they get tore up, just toss em and get a new set.

I haven't been in a K-Mart since Pig-Butt O’Donnell was their mouth piece and she ambushed Tom Sellick on her show about his relationship with the NRA and said all gun owners should be in jail. Now if Sellick had been the spokesman and made some comment about lesbians you can bet K-Mart would have dumped him PRONTO. (Don't remember the specifics but they did dump some conservative over some comment)

PS My cousin's husband works for K-Mart too....I still don't go in.

PSS Speaking of my personal boycotts...a guy at a gun shop told me that no member of the Ruger family is involved with the company anymore. is this true, can I now replace that Super Redhawk I sold when Billy Boy stabbed all gun owners in the back???
