Hey everyone, I just found out about this forum while searching for a holster for my new pistol, and thought I'd come aboard. My name's Phil, I'm 23 and just finished six years with the National Guard, including a tour in Iraq and hurricane relief. Needless to say, this is probably why I am so comfortable with firearms and so insistent that everyone excercise their second ammendment right.

I currently own a Kimber Custom TLE/RL2 and a Springfield XD45. Without a doubt, the Kimber is the best shooting .45 I've shot amongst various 1911's and a few glocks. Perfect trigger pull and very comfortable for rapid fire use. The Springfield isn't as civilized as the all steel Kimber, much lighter, and exhibits more recoil. The smaller 4" XD does however have 13round mags, chambers hollowpoints just like my 1911, is much more compact, and has yet to fail after it's first 300 rounds.

Sorry to be long-winded, glad to be here, can't wait to meet everyone.

No ''wind-length'' problem :smilez:

Hi and welcome Phil.
HellO!

Hey man-- I'm new here too.

Glad to see more people coming on-board.

I'm a bit jealous of that Kimber! I've got a little Ultra Carry in Stainless Steel that I love. I'm trying to fight against the gun-bug. I'm a little worried that I'm going to lose and end up with a safe full of guns!

Nice to meet you:wave:

I'll take that as a compliment. It was kinda a present to myself after I finished my tour in Iraq, thought I deserved to spoil myself after a year picking sand out of my crack. With the light and laser, it's more than I want to carry around day to day, but the range always lights up when I pull it out, everyone wants to shoot it. If you lived in my neighborhood I'd be happy to go out to the range and let you pump a few through it.
Welcome! :beerchug:
