Hello all,

I'm speaking to local government here in nj to try and work from the bottom up to get a ccw law passed here. At the very least I want to see that members of the military be able to carry concealed...since the only people who can carry are mostly law enforcement. After talking with my local assemblyman, I believe I'm going to wait until January to start making a big push. Firstly, because the Supreme Court is hearing a case related to the 2nd amendment in January and our new administration takes over then as well.

So I will keep you all posted as I hear anything and will need ALL of your help to ring all of the assemblymen/womens phones, clog their emails and send them letters to try and persuade thm with what "the people" want.

Welcome from the Ozarks. Pick the assembly members off one or two at a time in upcoming elections. Study the election results for the past two or three cycles to find those vulnerable. Raise money and focus it on pro 2A candidates. Don't bite off more than you can chew. Make sure to win at least one seat each election. After a few lose their jobs, the others will roll on the 2A issue. Then you are home free. Start with a model law, so you can be specific and stay on message. Many in Jersey have friends and relatives in Florida. Perhaps your campaign could aim for enacting a Florida type law. In six or ten years, you will win.

Thanks for being upbeat. I've been in NJ for 10 years now and have given up any hope of seeing 'shall issue CC permits' here. My pessimism isn't over the politicians...it's due to our fellow citizens.
They are hard-core, thorough-bred sheep. But who knows? Keep at it.
