We are planning another OC meet out here in Vegas. This time we are going Downtown.

This is copy and paste from OCDO.
After our success on the strip, I'd like to continue this momentum and meet again soon!

We'll be meeting at Fremont Street Experience on Saturday night Jan 30 at 7PM. Let's meet on the west end (closest to the Plaza while still under the canopy) at Main & Fremont between Las Vegas Club and Golden Gate.

Park where ever you like. There's a public parking garage (which does charge a fee) on the east end at 4th & Fremont. I plan to park at Golden Gate Casino, where I can valet and immediately exit to Main St without entering the casino itself. The valet guys there are pretty cool and we should have no problems parking there. There's also on-street parking and other parking garages everywhere.

Not protesting anything, just getting together to further promote open carry. Please invite friends & family to attend, whether they OC, CC, or NC (no carry).

Feel free to cross-post this to other forums, especially USA Carry and NV Shooters.

Plenty of street vendors selling food and drinks. None of the casinos are posted that I've observed, but YMMV as far as not being asked to leave.

I'm going to print up some larger-than-normal business cards with applicable laws & rights in case any citizens are curious and ask questions, you'll be prepared to hand them something.

See you in a week!

And the link for more info.

Don't forget about tonight for those that are thinking about showing up. We are still going to be OC'ing downtown Vegas. But for the out-o-towners, if you guys ever plan on coming out to Vegas and want to meet up and OC. Just Post something up on the Nevada board of opencarry dot org and I'm sure something can be worked out.

Hope to some of you locals out there.
Have fun and carry on.

It was actually uneventful. A few of us went into the casinos without an issue. I myself went into Binion's to use the restroom. While in there I tried to get a soda from the snack bar. After waiting a few minutes I walked out. But while standing there I had a couple of security guards watched me for a couple of minutes but didn't approach and eventually left.

One of the other guys played craps inside the Golden Gate casino, with no incident. And one and his wife went into another casino(not sure which) without a problem.

We have a trash pick-up scheduled for sat. But it looks like it's going to rain. Looks like we're going to have to break out the stainless hardware.:comeandgetsome:

Just a thought ... trash pick-ups and charity events raise awareness and promote community.

Someday someone is going to write "an armed 'gang' marched/paraded down Fremont" (which is just blocks away from some really shady areas). So having the cards to hand out are a really good idea!

btw, are the Front Sight folks from Pahrump supporting any of these events?

We do have cards and we didn't march. We just kinda strolled down the street. With a few of us heading in differant directions. But I think the plan is to start doing more trash pick ups. I'm going to bring up maybe doing some graffiti clean up. But that might be a little sketchy being that I don't think a real gang would like the stuff to be covered up.
