Lol.

.357mag recoil isn't that bad or maybe the weight of the GP100 made recoil seem tolerable.

Why in the hell is the Trigger pull on the GP100 so damn heavy?

I haven't had the pleasure of shooting one yet but it sure is pretty. I really can't think of one bad I've heard about it.

Shoot 357 from a SW686, or a SW629; both are heavier guns and tame the 357 well. They are a joy to shoot, no kidding, in 357. As well, you won't even feel 38 special, or 38 wadcutters. The 686 is my favorite in 3 or 4".

It's one of the few revolvers that I would tell anyone: 1) Definitely buy one, you will NOT be sorry; 2) It's worth every penny of the $800 to $1k price tag; 3) It'll become a favorite shooter and hunting backup gun.

I don't say that about revolvers much, but this one surely is a cut above - IMO. Many will agree. I don't know too many who don't, interestingly.

PS: I had to edit to say, this is applicable to current revolvers, and is not inclusive of my favorite gun (not ccw gun, but still my favorite), the Single Action Army by Colt. NO, immitations are not Colts - don't even go there. LOL.

I imagine it would turn into a big puff of powder when it hits and probably leave a clear indication of where it hit.
My question would be could it remain intact until hitting the target or leaving pieces in the barrrel.

I saw a post on another forum that reminded me of a peeve and that's for some young whippersnapper to take me to task either in a forum post or in person over calling a revolver a pistol or using the term "automatic" to describe self-loading pistols.

I don't want to hear how a revolver is not a pistol nor do I want to hear that the use of the term automatic is not correct.

Privately, at home we call all handguns pistols and divide them between the revolvers and the automatics. Lots of pistols around here have the words "Colt Automatic" roll marked on them.

I feel justified.

What to carry today, will it be the 3” the 4” or the Government model. Then to decide the caliber 45ACP, the 10MM or the 38 Super. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

I wish K-Var would get some barrel assemblies back in stock.
