How can you not like Nickel

It's a royal PITA for one thing... but nothing else is a nickel finish.

How is Nickel a PITA? its the easiest finish to upkeep

Then why pretell is it not used on say a Glock?

It requires a different set of cleaning products and you have to know what you're doing. I admit though I'd get a nickel finish if it was on the right gun...
