I was digging through my cabinet and found a hand full of boxes of old ammo. At least the 60's or older. one box of Winchester 30-30, one box of 38spl, and three boxes of 25-36:blink: an old military round I guess.
Anyway, all three boxes are showing signs of mold like corrosion on the outside of the brass. Only spotty, and not on all of the rounds.I only have a gun for the 30-30, but don't want to shoot these "dirty" rounds for fear of damaging the gun, or myself in the event of a failure.
Will the brass from these rounds possible be okay to stip down, clean up and reload, or is the it more likley the case, once the corrosion reaches the outside, they are trash.
If they are possible salvagable, anyone know somebody with a 25-36, 60 rounds, softpoint, in brown boxes, the origional's.
