For the first time and it'll be for my G29. Rated at 1250 fps/694 fpe and no idea what velocity from the G29 but it should be a hard hitter.

Yes, it's my carry piece.

I've shot Sig Elite 10mm 180gr rated at 1250 fps and it was pretty stout.

Good ammo. I carried the same load in a G29 for a while.

In this example, from a Glock 20: 1,261 fps

To give you a reasonable idea of velocity from a 29, using 6 different loads, my 29 averaged 62 fps less than my 20, max difference 78 fps.
Wouldn't be too bad of a guess that your 29 get about 1,200 fps with that ammo.
I assumed over penetration, but after 4 layers denim penetration was reasonable 16'' / .68 expansion.

If you are not concerned with speed of follow up shots disregard the following:
With an estimated power factor (PF) of 240 :ahhhhh: 2nd shot / follow up shot will be a challenge IMO.
Glock 29 SF
Hornady 155 XTP: 1,278 fps / 562# KE / PF 198
Hornady 175 gr. Critical Duty: 1,083 fps / 456# KE / PF 190
With the goal of both 1st & 2nd shot hitting a 6'' circle 6-7 yards away, my 2nd shot average ~.34 sec with 155 XTP and I had to focus to get it.
For comparison, using same accuracy criteria, I averaged .28 sec yesterday with Glock 21 and 230 gr. JHP.
If the Sig 180 load was going 1,200 out of the 29, that is a PF of 216, just to give you an idea.
