I have a P3AT that is a fine carry gun but ammo is so hard to get I'm planning to get a 9mm. I'm debating between a Keltec P-11, Kahr P9 and any other similar size guns. (I love my G19 and XD, but they are too wide for daily carry). This is going to be strictly for carry and will probably get 100 rounds/2 months of range use. Reliability is 1st priority.

I'd love to get the Kahr but read many mixed reviews.

Opinions?

Thanks

Joe

I went with the Kahr CW-9 + a few xtra mags---after a problem with mag release on all 3 guns (one for me, one for my wife and one for my brother) was fixed (new mag release and springs for all three) our Kahrs run 100% and shoot right to point of aim. DAO trigger is very light and smooth and guns eats all ammo JHP and FMJ 100%. Pistol is light in weight and quite narrow---disappears inside waistband but still with enough grip to properly hold on to the gun, unlike the smaller PM-9 where the grip is just too short. Good luck with your choice.

If you like your P3AT & want to stay with something small, I would go for the P-11. Ammo is plentiful & not as $$ as .380., && of course, more powerful. I even have a 15rd mag for mine.

I own both. I like the Kahr much better. It is more comfortable to shoot. For some reason the P11 likes to take a bite out of the web between thumb and forefinger.

i found the pf9 to be a bit sharp on the hand...i realize its not a range gun but comfort should play somewhat of a role....the p11 is a bit wider and ditributes the load a little better without being too wide for comfortable light carry...

The P11 is ok....but the P9 is absoulutely the most natural feeling gun in my hand I have ever handled.

I was going to get the KT pf9 but opted for the Kel tec p11 ,(same size), holds 2 more rounds, and its hardly any fatter , and is no bother to carry.
Thought about the kahr, but was attracted to the lifetime warranty from kel tec, and it being 300+ $ less. I use it as a hack around gun,(to work and back), so I don't have to worry about someone stealing my car, and taking my S&W M&P with it
Its been 100% reliable after 450+ rounds, through it, 50 of them being hollow points
Good luck in your decision

Love my PF-9 as much as my P-3AT. I thought seriously about getting the P-11 but went with the PF-9. For me, thin was better than larger mag capacity.

My KT PF9 has been a very good carry for me.

There are times when a small carry is needed and then I carry my KT P3AT.

I would rather shoot the P3AT at range, but respect the 9mm for its power.

Both work just fine and I trust both 100%.

I have the PF-9 and like it quite well.

Haven't handled or shot the P11 so can't give you a opinion on that one.

I too would vote for the PF9 but that wasn't one of your options, I did however opt for it over the P11, I prefer single stacks... and wanted the thinest and lightest I could get, PF9 was the winner. If I carry bigger its 1911. still thin. If you have the bucks look at the EMP!

My P-11 stays inside my door pouch inside my ride, being thicker than the PF-9, which I held up next to it to compare their size side by side, deciding to buy the thicker gun for the three extra bullets if not for comfort and size. For carrying concealed, the PF-9 might be more sensible if not a better deal.

Looked at both PF9 and the P11 and bought the P11. The PF9 is nice but for me the P11 felt better then the PF9 in my hand.
