Well, we print our Citizen Success Stories so I guess it's only fair that we print our FAILURES also.
I did not get the entire story because I was right here on CombatCarry.com while the local news (WPXI) was on in the Living Room.
I was two rooms away.
Pennsylvania License To Carry Firearms holder with a valid permit jumped out of his vehicle & stuck his firearm in the face of another (female?) driver because they were driving too slow in an unfamiliar area looking for either a specific house or street.
He said something to them like "You got a problem?"
Thankfully the woman got his license plate number & the State Police tracked him down.
He is now facing various charges stemming from the incident.
I think this happened in Greene County?????

I think this is the first story I've ever heard on TV news about a legal permit holder spazzing out with his carry firearm.

If anybody finds the complete actual full story could you post it on the forum please.?

You know it's bound to happen, sometime, but it really makes me cringe when we have to be flawless, and someone screws up.

He was one of the 2% that I talked about in another post. This is very sad. We don't need this kind of publicity. It really hurts our cause and gives lots of ammo to the liberal press,Sarah Brady,etc.,etc.

Got to say, if he's stupid enough to do something like that, he shouldn't be carrying....... Ever!

rstickle, I"d probably guess that after all is said an done he wont be carring again cuz he'll be a convicted felon (at least I hope so). This is the Abu Ghrab of the CCW community. SAD !!-----

Be good to think it didn't happen but if it did well - sure as heck hurts us all but on a pure statistics note - a drop in the ocean. Not that the media might see it that way.

Still, I am not pleased to hear of any LTC transgressions at all.

On The Bright Side

The PA LTC F is pretty easy to get. PA is SHALL ISSUE & as long is there is no legal reason why you cannot carry...you must be granted a license to carry.

BUT, if you screw up & lose your PA LTC you'll (for sure) probably never get one issued to you again.

This guy needs to be strung up by his thumbs & be stoned with rotten eggs tossed at him for 24 hours for being so totally "Stuck On Stupid"

I always said: If you cannot control your temper...do yourself a favor (ahead of time) and do not carry.
This guy is probably going to be looking at a little jail time.
And for what?
Did he get where he wanted to go any quicker???
He is going someplace NOW that he doesn't want to go...in a hurry!
I sure hope that the ONE MINUTE OF MACHO was worth it to him!

While I disagree completely with what the guy did, a large part of me also has an issue with the fact that he's given the anti's an example of what can happen when things go wrong. :(

And even though there is far more evidence to the contrary, this will be a shinging example of why we should not have the RKBA and CCW :(.

I agree 100%
I am just glad that this sort of thing DOES NOT happen in Pennsylvania very often.
It is a BLACK EYE to every legal carry citizen.

Do you guys remember awhile back in Atlanta when a girl got ticked at another girl for cutting her off in traffic and caught her at the off ramp. She pointed a gun at her during that mad moment.

One thing here - and I am thinking of this I guess in mitigation to ease our angst, tho the behavior was of course totally inexcusable.

The upside is - while the act was reckless and dangerous, it was not per se - an act of a typical criminal. It was not a robbery or direct attack with shooting - seemingly we are talking crazy threat (macho!?). So while I do not in any way condone this idiot's actions - looking at it from a ''bad press' POV - let's just say it could have been worse for the CCW image.

The day I hear of a LTC in PA, or anywhere - who has committed a major armed crime, then my heart will sink several notches further because THAT would indeed be extremely damaging. Misdemeanor is embarrassing and feckless but an actual felony would make mud stick much worse.

OK - I am just trying to look on the bright side!

I think part of the problem in the usa anymore is we are not allowed to get mad!! If your at home and shout at your wife and she throws a dish on the floor someone calls the cops. Same holds true out on the streets, you cannot get into a shouting match if you do the cops are called. We cannot make mistakes in society today, the cops are called. It starts in the schools with play nice and are your parents kind to you kinda stuff. I do think that with so many BG's running around it is difficult tracking the players in life. Stay safe guys and girls.

Very True....Forced Containment.

Huge difference though between getting angry & getting angry with a firearm.
I sure have been mad & upset but, the thought of yanking out a pistol to help the argument along is just never a part of it.
Some people get angry without any limits to that anger.
AKA THEIR ANGER HAS NO BOUNDS.
That is dangerous.
