Was into the local gunshop this AM,walking around and carefully listening for something to call to me.(Had my Walkers Game Ear on) Suddenly the far righ hand case lit up with this whiteish-blue glow.

Now I'm not really a Para Ord fan cuz they are for the most part too thick for me. I have heard that they are built well and they have all the stuff that a 1911 should have on it. Don't know 'bout range stuff, but for carry this one caught my eye.

The Para LDA CCW.(CCWWX7455) .45ACP--4.25"bbl--single stack 7+1--34oz.--SS--3 dot sights--very slim grips--short grip safety--scaloped front strap--IIRC also a checkered,flat, main spring housing--flat back hammer.

I tell ya this weapon looked like it was designed to be carried. The very best part was the trigger. It was,bar none, the very best double action trigger that I have ever fingered. When pulled it was very easy to "stage",then broke clean. I almost bought it just to get a chance to shoot it.
Price $859. You Para guys oughta take a look at this one.

If anybody owns one please let me know what you think of it. ---------

I have one of those that you speak of...except its a double stack in the magazine. This gun shoots so well that I am inclined to sell a few others that I don't shoot, just to buy another one. The DAO trigger is the finest I have ever shot. I can shoot triple taps at the target and still maintain them in the kill zone.
Folks.... if you never shot one...your missing quite an opportunity...

My girlfriend had 1. it was a nice shooter, but for those who have shot 1911's for a while , the trigger reset will throw ya off. also several small parts internally.

Although I haven't shot a Para CCW, I do like the look and feel. The LDA trigger was better than I expected too.

So many nice guns....

I had one, with Crimson Trace laser grips. The trigger was simply awesome, and it shot like a dream.

I was financing a patent research at the time, and was terribly hard up for cash, and sold it. I terribly regret doing so.

Nawwwwww. I figured it out myself. In a past post you told me to(IIRC) just hit the "back" button/key. You wouldn't believe how long I looked for it on my key board. Had the wife in here and everything. Finally,by chance,I found it to be the "enter". There.........now you know what a "pooter guru" I am.

Now I gotta figure out how to post the pic of my Randall,my Kimber, and my AR.
And don't tell me to just hit the "picture" button. ---------

The old Mod.14 "Attack". Have had it since Christ was a corporal. Went the distance for/with me. For the Randall lovers and/or owners out there,if you saw it...........you'd cry.

It resides in my safe now,but comes out to tell me stories every now and then. Stories of the "good"(?) ol' daze.

Huh? What? Did I just hijack my own thread ????????? Sorry ---------

My first Para was the Black Watch single stack (5 inch barrel) and I liked the LDA so much that I bought the Para CCW about three weeks ago and so far it has been great. I have found the Para guns quite accurate. I can actually shoot better with the CCW than my Beretta 92FS. I paid $779 for my CCW BNIB so it looks like I made a great deal. :danceban: :danceban:

When I was looking for a new pistol for carry purposes the Black Watch was high up on the list. But the price was the reason I didn't go that route and ended up with a nice Glock 23 (much cheaper, especailly with the LEO/Military discount). One of these days.....
