When I first got my SNT, I noticed that the balance was different from the Nova I used to have - a little heavier in front with an identical configuration. At first, practicing reloads and switching to slugs, I thought I might regret not getting the pistol grip stock, but as I've continued to practice, I don't miss it at all. In fact, I'm developing a new appreciation for the old-school recommendation of a simple pump-action shotgun with a standard stock.
Also, you have to loosen/remove the pistol grip, itself, in order to remove the trigger group for cleaning on the Supernova. The ComforTech stock makes a huge difference shooting slugs and magnum rounds, and I really like it. I would not get the pistol grip, myself.
