I hope they can hold things off. The problem is Team Obama will just keep replacing Judges until they get a court to by-pass the law as it is.
Between having a Judge write law and EO's we still have a tough fight ahead of us.

Let them vote and be done with it.

I'm just glad there are FINALY some Conservative Legeslators with some BACKBONE.

A sad state of affairs when they have to resort to a filibuster instead of flatly voting it down and being done with it.

Check out the NRA supports the SB thread. We hammered Rand and the others to do this and now our big 800 lb gorilla wants to suddenly cut the ground out from under them. We my friends are about to have our gonads removed and NRA saying its not going to hurt has several ready to go along with this mess.

No gun law ever accomplished anything but make a criminal out of a law abiding citizen. No background check has ever stopped one violently inclined mental or not person from getting a gun if they have the brain left to walk the street free. And never will. How do we forget that so easily when it happens that its not our personal ox thats being gored at the moment??? Better start hammering the NRA with letters.

As to others, need to see 'em first.

I have asked my (Republican) Senators to support the filibuster. Hopefully it will become a vehicle by which the RINO's can "prove" how conservative they are........

That bill will hurt. Tons of Americans it has no business hurting. Not you or me right now but give it a few years.
I didnt tell NRA to back it. But its still unconstitutional, its full of holes, and wont do anything at all except stop anyone that wants a gun that might need help and would go for it from doing so.

Anybody else violently inclined that has sense enough to dress themselves and can order a hamburger is gonna know better
than to get a gun where that check would do squat. Just because the 800 lb gorilla says its banana, dont change the fact its a snake.

I guess they won't get that invitation to dinner at the White House tomorrow. Oh well, I'm sure that John McCain and a few other less committed Republicans will enjoy themselves without the next generation of Republican Leadership.

McCain showed his true colors long ago before Obama was out of diapers. How hes avoided ah heck I give up. The Vietnam vets here mostly know anyway.

Copying/pasting the text of any cogent letter to them shouldn't take but a fraction of the time required to craft such a letter. The Senate.gov web site has simple links to each their contact forms. All you'll need to do is re-enter your contact info, paste the letter's text, then press <send>. Pretty darned quick, actually.
