I just inherited a Remington M1903 (not an A3). The SN on the receiver dates back to 1942 and the barrel is marked 11-42. The stock has a single proof mark and was inspected by FJA (Frank J Atwood) who near as I can was an inspector from 1942-1944. I'm not sure, but this could be an all original rifle.

Can anyone recommend a good internet research resource that could help me figure out if this is an all original rifle?

What do you think an all original rifle in pristine condition would be worth? I don't intend to sell it, I'd just like to know so i don't fire it (too much).
