I love how a good gunsmith puts a revolver up by his ear as he feels and listens to it and inspects it. I hate it when afterwards he gives you a list of things that are wrong with it. I once won a brand new S&W model 14 38 special with the full underlug. I handed it to him at the drawing and after handling it he said, get rid of it. Huh? I really liked the design and feel, but I also needed a lever gun, so I sold it to a buddy. It's changed hands a number of times, but I still know where it's at. I still wish I'd pressed him for the details of what it was he didn't like about it.

I've done the same thing for others with cars, so I took his expert advise and never questioned him about the details.
