Burris Pos-A-Lign inserts eliminate the need for lapping, shimming, and +MOA bases and helps keep the reticle as close to center of the tube as possible.

It's best to keep the rings oriented as they came out of package.

Once you get the scope perfect move it a hair forward so you have to reach forward just a bit to avoid scope eye.

I really like scope screwz - like thumb studs for scopes - for adjusting the position of the scope during all the mounting/dismounting the gun from my shoulder.

You don't need to crank down on the screws anywhere near as much as most people like to. If you use the torque values, remember it's in inch-lbs, not foot-lbs.
