Oy. Wonder if it is an over-zealous officer (or group of officers) or if it came down on stone tablets from on high.

This is two counties over from me, that one has the famous rubicon trail. Some of the forest nazis are a real pita and need to be challenged.

This is great news. San Bernadino Sheriff did the same thing with BLM over grazing rights and ranchers.

The big win here is federal officers in that county can not use California vehicle code for probable cause nor can they write citations for california laws. This puts a big win in the publics side of the column. There is a federal officer that is causing a great deal of problems in the area. He is using california weapons laws to harass shooters on federal land now he can only use federal laws and it is much like a guard dog with no teeth. The list of complaint against this officer are long and federal forest officials refuse to take action.

Thank you sheriff for what you are doing.

Respectfully,
Bill
