Shield Holster

I'm looking for a OWB holster for a my 9mm shield that I can carry easily under a suit coat. I'm looking for something that rides high and I don't care about the material but I'm leaning towards a leather one that looks nicer.

Thanks!

DeSantis Mini Scabbard meets that criteria for me.

if you're hell bent on leather I really like these guys

I personally have gone over to the StealthGear Flex. It's pricey but I drop that much on ammo without blinking,
so I decided to take the dive and I'm glad I did. Just ordered another one for my XDM 3.8 .45.
Easily my favorite holster.

You didn't mention whether you wanted a cant or vertical drop; that will narrow down your options as well as the ride and the material. Another factor is whether you want something right now (which means you'll have to buy 'off the shelf'), or whether you're willing to wait a month or two for a custom holster made to your specs. The two are often surprisingly close in price.

I carry a 9 mm. Shield in a Phaetos (low ride/canted) holster made for me by UBG Holsters. He also offers medium and high ride models. I bought the holster about 5 years ago and am very pleased with the quality. Turnaround time was as stated at time of purchase.

For an off-the-shelf nicer looking, leather owb, consider Galco: COMBAT MASTER BELT HOLSTER: Galco Belt Holsters at Galco. Cost is a little more, but quality is good and there's no wait.

You can buy a matching belt from either of the above. Hope that helps.

I wore a tape measure on my side for many years for work. This was a natural progression for me. DeSantis speed scabbard Was my choice.

It rides high & tight.

I carry OWB at 3:00. I have 3 holsters I use with my Shield 9 and Performance Center Shield 9 that meet your criteria. All 3 cause the gun to ride high and tight to the body for excellent concealment and comfort. I think you would be pleased with any of them. The are:

A Lobo Gun Leather pancake holster

A Desantis Mini Belt Slide holster

And a Detroit Concealment custom Kydex holster

Definitely love Zlogonje Gunleather. Both my 9mm Shield and my full size .40 are in Zlogonje Pancake OWB leather.

It doesn't get any better than a Wright Leather Works "Predator" I have carried my Shield in this one for about 3 years and the fit and retention are still spot on. Their quality and workmanship is the best I have seem. I liked this one so well that I bought one for my S&W 640-1. Concealed Carry Leather Holsters - Wright Leather Works LLC
