There's a short blurb in the May 2005 issue of the NRA magazine Shooting Illustrated that for a mere $52,000.00, you can buy a membership in Valhalla, the elite training facility and shooting resort in Colorado, where you can hob-nob with the likes of retired General Norman Schwarzkopf and retired NBA player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

It doesn't say whether this is a one time or annual fee.

Any takers?

Looks like a top-notch place! It's over around Telluride, CO. Next time I'm ridin' the hawg down in that area I'll stop in and see what it's all about. If & when I do, I'll fill ya'll in with a report.
(Doubt I'll be gettin' one of them memberships anytime soon though)

Check it out!

The centerpiece of the Valhalla Facility is the Scenario House. The scenario rooms include a subway station, bedrooms, kitchen, bar, nightclub, industrial area, the first class section and cockpit of an airliner, a warehouse and many other settings. All the rooms are fully furnished and can contain a number of 3-dimensional, automated and/or paper targets.

It's a one time fee... but that's a Founding Membership and there are only 17 Left.

Training here, however, is no more expensive than anywhere else and our courses are open to the public.

We are not exactly like FrontSight.. there are a lot of significant differnces. For example: we actually have buildings and stuff.

Looks like a great facility for shooters of all types. The $52K founder memberships are a great idea for you guys to recoup some of the start-up costs, and provide a nice perk package to high profile people.

So Rob a question about where to start in the curriculum? I see there is a 2 day Concealed Carry Tactics course and a 3 day Advanced Concealed Carry Tactics course. There is also the Combat Focus Shooting course. I didn't notice any pre-reqs for any of those three anyway.

My other question, is it possible to combine some clay shooting before or after a course? I would assume it would be based on availability of range time?

Thanks,
Scott

There was a piece on this place on the Travel Channel a few months ago, one of those rich and famous get aways where the antis can blow holes in paper and nobody knows that they picked up an "evil" gun. Really posh, but can set up anything you want.
