WW2 Japanese Arisaka with mum, mononpod, and airplane sights. Chrome lined barrel. Heavy pitting on left side (see pictures) like it was lying in a beach. Bolt is not original to rifle. More pictures available. The forum will only allow me to attach 10.

I am not in the market, but here's a plug: The Type 99 was the rifle used by Hiroo Onoda, the Japanese soldier who kept fighting in the Philippines for 29 years after the war ended. When he finally surrendered his rifle, it was in perfect working order.

Some gun experts believe the 99 was as reliable and rugged as any bolt gun used in WWII.

The Japanese copied designs from several countries to come up with the Arisaka. It's a very dependable rifle. This one still shoots, in fact.
