Just how do you load a cylinder with them? Pull the one strip and dump them all in your hand, or start a cartridge into the chamber and strip it out? Sorry if it sounds silly, but I\'ve never seen or heard it explained.

I would imagine it would be similar to a stripper clip on an AR mag.

I grab a firm hold of the strip and cartridges so cartridges don\'t pop off accidentally, and load two at a time and \"peel\" the strip off the cartridges I\'m loading.

Are the speed strips that fast? I find it hard to believe they are as fast as a speedloader.

In my fumble-fingered experience, maybe not quite as fast as speedloaders, but they can come mighty close, with practice.

The main advantage to speed strips is they are so convenient to carry, plus I only put 5 rounds in them, for when I carry my S&W M60.

I've been using HKS Speedloaders for some time now and I just recently got some Bianchi strips.

These are fantastic. Operation is intuitive, simple, and moron proof. They're easier to carry because they're flexible and flat.

The only caveat is that if you want to load 2 rounds NOW! emphasis on NOW! they are definitely just as fast as speedloaders if not faster. Now if you want to fill the cylinder, it's about the same with a nod to the speedloader.

But to load 2 rounds in 2 seconds or 6 rounds in 3 seconds... I'll go with the former for a real defense situation but it's still a consideration to make.

That is assuming I close the revolver on the right chamber... I hate hearing click when it should go boom. That's another consideration to make.
