i am looking for a holster for a xd sub compact preferably a belt holster high ride open top without a thumb break. any sugestions.

Your best bet is to find a maker you like and his products. Most can accomidate you and your needs. The Compact is gaining popularity and shouldnt be a problem for most makers.

Eric Has it hit on the head i wear a Don hume at the time it was only person making one for the xd sub .

go get the Guns and Ammo test fire magazine. Good tourture test on the XD and a large holster review specifically for the XD.

if i start Carrying my Xd again ill look for one from KDHolsters.

As i said above at the time i got my first holster for it no one but Don hume made holsters for it and there are better out there

I carry my XD9 SC in a Tucker Texas Heritage IWB, rough side out.
