StealthGear IWB Road Test

Didn't test 6 holsters like a recent poster (great post BTW!), but drove down and back to LA in two days (290 miles each way) with my HK P2000 in a StealthGear Onyx (I think that's the IWB nomenclature). This drive was in a newer Golf with pretty narrow seats and the holster was extremely comfortable the entire drive. I think using a Trakline belt helps as I'm finding IWB that I want the belt just so to keep things in the right place (I'm probably at 3:30 or so). Being IWB it's easy to conceal although my wife thinks my shirt belongs on a table in an Italian restaurant:smile:

I've been wearing this holster around our place and inside the house, but with CHL in hand it's on my belt during the day and in the nightstand at night. I've decided to buy their scaled down version which might work work with some pants where the belt loops are inconveniently positioned.

I just can't seem to find an IWB rig that I find comfortable
i have an onyx for my g30 and a mini for my 238. both are great holsters and hands down the most comfortable i have used. Glad to see your you had a similar experience. They seem to get more comfortable with time. I think as with any holster they begin to mold and take the shape of your body.
I use one for my 1911 and very comfy. just ordered a IWB mag holder.

Have you tried the blackarch ace1 gen2?

Are you talking about trying their AIWB holster for 3:30 position? If you do, let us know how it goes. I really like the stealthgear stuff, but I think I prefer one clip as long as I'm not carrying anything super heavy. I carry at about 3:30 too and I'm kind of curious how their AIWB holster will work there, I know it's not really designed for that but I'm sure it will work just fine. Haven't found anybody that's tried it yet though

I tried it but did not think it through before I did. The way the clip is mounted, the only way to wear it at 3:30 would be with no cant at all. I use a cant so it did not work for me. I emailed the company to ask if they were going to make a single clip version for strong side carry. They said there are no plans for that right now.
