Found this on another forum can you believe?

George Phillips of Meridian, Mississippi was going up to bed
when his wife told him that he'd left the light on in the
garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window.
George opened the back door to go turn off the light but saw
that there were people in the shed stealing things.

He phoned the police, who asked "Does someone live in your
shed?" and he said no. Then they said that all patrols were
busy, and that he should simply lock his door and an officer would be
along when available.
George said, "Okay," hung up, counted to 30, and phoned the police again.
"Hello I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people in my
shed. Well, you don't have to worry about them now, cause I've just shot
them all." Then he hung up.

Within five minutes three police cars, an Armed Response unit,
and an ambulance showed up at the Phillips' residence. Of course, the police
caught the burglars red-handed. One of the Policemen said to George, "I
thought you said that you'd shot them?"

George said, "I thought you said there was nobody available?"

Then a LEO says: :chairshot
Can you say Falsely Reporting an Incident? Here in NY it is a Misdemeanor, that was naughty to say the least...Oh, and if I were on the job I would have arrested him as well as the perps...
Can you believe ?

Having worked EMS, I know where you're coming from, but it does beg the question: if he had already "taken care of the problem", why the ARU? I don't know, but if Miss. dosen't have LF for preservation of property, for an elderly man, watching a group of BG's taking assets he may well not be capable of replacing, what could you suggest?

I know, I know, been there, done that, too, contrary to common sense though it has frequently been.........

Read this one a while ago.

The content is decidedly amusing but I wonder as to its veracity.

I read this as a joke some months ago. I don't believe that it is a real incident.

This story has been floating around for years with different names and places...

However, that would definately be a way to guarentee a response from the police.

Just call 'em the second time, let' em hear you rack the slide, and tell 'em to bring the body bags. No falsehoods, and the LEOs will be there quickfastinahurry.

I also believe this to be an Urban Legend.
