So that invalidates the same requirement in all states that have it? CA, HA, etc.?

The Supreme Court has struck down New York's restrictive CC law. This is a very good thing.
Thanks for posting this Kenny53, indeed this is very good news!

If we can keep the cheating low this fall things just may change a bit, sure do hope so.

Apparently this ruling does not automatically apply to NJ and California. It should, but apparently not.
How so?

Not automatically, either the state legislatures will need to change the state laws in order to conform to this ruling or people in those states will have to challenge the laws in court to get them alligned with this ruling.

I would like that if people are deprived of their rights by the government by unconstitutional laws then the victums of that government overreach could sue those that pass and enforce those unconstitutional laws under the "deprivation of civil rights under color of law" provisions.

That isn't allowed (they are allowed to be ignorant of current rulings when they enforce the laws but for the people, ignorance is no excuse).
