I honestly couldn't say how it would affect us out here in AZ, except a rise in the cost of gasoline and products coming from the Atlantic seaboard and New England. Perhaps the costs of new elections, depending if Congress was in session....
We would send aid, EMS personnel, etc, but there is one large problem with the first responders listed - huge amounts of military personnel are overseas right now, and a very large portion of the National guard is also overseas, cutting your available manpool power drastically. Also, yes, there is a million police - but do all of them go to DC? Who polices the communties they leave, or do we abandon them?
I hope this never occurs, I know in my gut as long as our government refuses to take border issues seriously, it's only a matter of time....
