A friend is offering to sell me a Taurus P-945 for what seems a good price ($350). It's NIB, never been fired and comes with an extra magazine. He's selling it because he won it in a drawing about 6 months ago and he's not a "45" person. It seems to be a solid, well made gun and I am considering the purchase. However, I have never owned a Taurus and I have found almost nothing about it on the internet other than what's at the Taurus USA site. Does anyone here own one and what are your impressions? Thanks in advance to you all.

Good customer service, not sure as to quality. My PT140 basically Kb'ed on me . They did fix it for cost of shipping, but no explaination or other info was given as to cause. The PT is a poly frame too.

Pt-945

rachilders:

I've owned a Taurus PT-945 for two years. I have about 1000 rounds through it. Never a problem of any kind. The only thing I changed was the addition of a Hogue wrap around grip.

The design is that of the PT-92 model. It's simple to maintain and, for me, it has been very reliable. Just keep in clean and lubed.

I have 6 Taurus handgun, 3 semi's and 3 wheel's. The first was purchased in 1995. Not a problem among them. Love 'em all.

I paid $349 for my PT-945, NIB at a gun show. Glad I did.

Take care.

Jim
