cramps

Well I went to the doctors yesterday and along with a general check on my againg body I asked about the cramps I have been getting in my calf and feet. He prescribed Quinine Sulfate (A mylaria drug) to help. He also suggested a banana 2 or 3 times a week and a small can of V-8 juice a few times a week for thier potassium. Don't want to be or like being on another medicine so will try the fruit and juice route after the first bottle of Quinine is gone.
Will let you all know how all this works.

Fuzzy

More I think on this the more I reckon I must take same route - has to be a potassium link (I oughta know, with my old, if rusty, med background!).

I am aware tho that just age itself does seem to predispose toward this problem.
I thought I had my bases covered, cuz I take this big multi vitamin w minerals!
I finally looked real close at the label and while it has potassium in it, it is less then 1% of the daily recommended dosage.
Got to read them labels. I'd rather eat a banana, it 's more filling the a pill.

Don't waste money on potassium pills. They only have 99 mg. A banana or glass of OJ has 400mg and a glass of low sodium V-8 has 800.
FLM,
Thanks for the info, banana and OJ, have too much sugar for me, right now so V-8 it is.
